Position Overview:
The Retail Merchandise Intern will support the Wind Surge Team Store throughout the season. The position will include both game day and non-game day event duties. The ideal candidate is a strong, energetic communicator with the ability to work in a team environment, have an eagerness to learn, and possess the flexibility to adapt to what each day brings with a positive attitude.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing inventory and restocking merchandise at the team store and throughout the ballpark
- Support the team in developing visual merchandising displays to enhance the shopping experience
- Help with the curation and ordering of retail merchandise, including apparel, memorabilia, and accessories
- Assist in tracking merchandise sales and identifying trends to support inventory forecasting
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting fans with product selection and purchases
- Collaborate with marketing and promotions teams to incorporate merchandise into game-day promotions
- Gain experience in retail operations, sales tracking, and inventory management
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current student or recent graduate a plus
- Knowledge of baseball a plus
- Strong time management, communication, and organization skills
- Ability to supply excellent customer service to all clients and fans
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Detail oriented and comfortable with sales
- Familiarity with a ticketing system preferred
- Problem solving and conflict management skills
- Positive attitude
