The Game Day Internship Program is designed for LOCAL COLLEGE STUDENTS (or students home for the summer) who want to explore careers in the sports industry while gaining hands-on experience working with the San Antonio Missions.

This program will expose students to a variety of game day roles and allow interns to learn and work alongside our front office staff members. Interns will experience what it is like to work in multiple departments and gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

This internship is intended to be educational, career-building, and fulfilling — not simply a part-time job.

The program will begin in May for orientation and will conclude in August. Interns are expected to be present for all games they are scheduled for and will be paid minimum wage. Interns must be currently enrolled in college during the internship period. Candidates who need this internship for college credit are strongly preferred. Although interns will not be scheduled to work 100% of the games, we are looking for qualified candidates that have open availability. Interns will not be selected unless they can remain until sometime in August 2026, ideally until the end of our season.

Game day report time will vary depending on the start time of the game. For example, for a standard 7:05 PM game, interns can expect to report around 1:00–2:00 PM (tentative) for setup and work until approximately 8:00 PM, or until all responsibilities are completed.

Game Day Interns will be paid $10.00 and are able to earn college credit (preferred).

●      Assist in general game day setup including giveaways, programs, sponsor tables, and other ballpark activations

●      Assist with ticket window and gate setup, as assigned

●      Manage assigned areas of the ballpark and support fan engagement initiatives

●      Assist promo crew with on-field/mid-inning entertainment

●      Concierge for high profile clients and unique ballpark experiences

●      Assist promo crew in handing out giveaways and exit distributions

●      Opportunity to engage in special projects (marketing projects, ballpark events, etc.)

●      Other responsibilities related to game day operations as assigned by Front Office members

Students participating in the Program will be exposed to a professional working experience and will gain valuable information in the following categories:

●      The importance of event logistics and timing

●      Management of key areas in the ballpark

●      Executing marketing promotions

●      Providing customer service & problem solving

●      Working as a team to reach a goal

●      Networking with professional staff

WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT LOCAL STUDENTS FOR THIS PROGRAM.

This position is intended for current college students only. Applicants must be actively enrolled in a college program during the internship period. Candidates who have already completed school and are no longer enrolled will not be considered.
