Marketing & Promotions Intern
The Midland RockHounds, the Double-A Affiliate of the Athletics, are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing/Promotions intern to join our team for the 2026 season!
Our goal is to provide real hands-on experience that can be used to land leading roles within the highly competitive professional sports industry.
The Midland RockHounds Marketing/Promotions Intern reports directly to the Marketing Manager and will play a crucial role in planning and executing in-game promotions, digital marketing initiatives, and gaining valuable experience in both marketing and sports entertainment. This paid position begins in spring 2026 and will conclude at the end of the 2026 season.
Main Responsibilities
● Report to the Marketing Manager while collaborating with the Director of Tickets on
campaign initiatives.
● Assist with team merchandise promotions and advertising
● Assist the marketing team with social media initiatives, including content creation and engagement strategies to grow our online presence.
● Support the creation, execution, and reporting of digital media campaigns.
● Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute social media campaigns and promotions.
● Oversee the promotions crew during games, ensuring smooth execution of promotional activities and engaging fan interactions.
● Assist in the planning and setup of decorations for promotional nights, helping to create a festive atmosphere for fans.
● Assist in Guest Services during games for various activations
● Set up all in-game games and activities.
● Coordinate player/coach gameday interviews with local media
Experience/Qualifications
● Pursuing or completed a bachelor's degree in a related field from accredited four-year college or university.
● Strong organizational and leadership skills
● Experience with graphic design software (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
● Creative mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving.
● Proficiency in social media platforms
● Preferred start date is January 5th.
