This position will play a vital role in enhancing our team's online presence and strengthening our connection with the community.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop valuable skills in social media management, community and media relations, merchandising; all while helping to strengthen the Midland RockHounds’ brand.

Key areas of responsibility:
Social Media Management
- Assist in creating, curating, and scheduling engaging content for the team's social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok). This position will serve as main handler of Tik Tok & player engagement for social platforms.
- Monitor social media channels for fan engagement and respond to comments and messages promptly.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute social media campaigns and promotions.
Community & Media Relations
- Support the planning and execution of community events.
- Assist in coordinating partnerships with local businesses and organizations for community initiatives.
- Help maintain the team's community calendar, such as mascot appearances and keeping stakeholders informed about upcoming events.
- Coordinate game day media activities, including player interviews with local media outlets.
- Foster relationships with local media outlets, assist local media personnel, and ensure smooth media operation during home games.
Merchandise
- Help complete daily, monthly and annual sales and inventory reports.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and complete inventory and sales list, including ensuring an organized store and storage areas.
- Fulfill and ship online orders.
- Ability to learn the functions of the in-store POS system.
Game day & special event Support
- Assist with game day operations, including posting live updates and interacting with fans on social media during games.
- Assist Promotions Director in setting up promotions and work with game day staff to ensure a seamless fan experience at the ballpark.
- Attend daily promotions meetings.
- Assist in special event planning, marketing and operations. Special events to include ballpark events, golf tournament, baseball camps, concerts, etc.
- Contribute to special projects across departments, as assigned.
