· Internship timeframe: February 15th – October 9th

· This is a hands-on position in which you will be involved in all aspects of the field operation

· Assist in all clay maintenance: mounds, plate, infield skin, and warning track

· Operating equipment for turfgrass cultural practices such as mowing, aerifying, topdressing, fertilizing, and more

· You will be involved in planning special projects and executing those plans

· Improve budgeting, scheduling, and time management skills

· Irrigation maintenance

· Assist with tarp pulls

· Setting up/breakdown for batting practice as well as other in-stadium events

· Perform RockHounds Grounds Crew Beginner and Advanced Training Programs

· Work through SFMA Internship Guide on daily basis

· $12.00/hour
· Seasonal full-time internship with flexible hours. Alternating longer & shorter work weeks per team schedule.

· Uniforms, meals on game day

· The candidate must be self-motivated and possess the desire to pursue a career in sports turf management.

· The candidate should have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the desire to learn each day.

· We prefer candidates to be enrolled in a turf program or graduated with a two or four-year degree.

· Previous ballfield work experience is preferred but not required.
