Overview
We are seeking a passionate, organized and baseball-savvy individual to oversee our RoughRiders Baseball Academy camps. This part-time, on-site role is responsible for leading all academy operations during camp days. The ideal candidate loves working with kids, understands youth baseball development and knows how to balance fun with fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities
- Be on site for all Baseball Academy camp days
- Lead camp setup and teardown, including equipment and instructional stations
- Design and implement age-appropriate baseball programming for participants ages 4–12
- Lead and assist with on-field instruction, drills and activities
- Ensure a fun, safe and educational environment for all campers
- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and guardians, including:
- Check-in and check-out
- Camp expectations and schedules
- Addressing questions, concerns or feedback
- Oversee camp flow and timing to keep sessions running smoothly
- Support and guide any additional camp staff or instructors
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals and youth development
- Experience coaching or instructing youth athletes, preferably ages 4–12
- Comfortable leading groups of children with energy, patience and positivity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with parents/guardians
- Ability to create programming that is engaging, instructional, and age-appropriate
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
Schedule & Employment Details
- Hours primarily tied to scheduled camp days
- Must be available for all academy sessions
