The Frisco RoughRiders are seeking a Marketing Intern for the summer to support the club’s marketing efforts. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Marketing and work closely with the Marketing Manager, gaining hands-on experience in professional sports marketing within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist with basic graphic design projects as needed using Adobe Photoshop and Slate
- Assist in tracking the execution and documentation of sponsor elements for campaign reporting
- Track and assist with reporting social media and email marketing campaigns
- Support day-to-day marketing initiatives, including promotions, events and digital campaigns
- Serve as a Riders Crew member during home games, assisting with in-game promotions and fan engagement
- Provide general marketing support
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with major social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook and X
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Basic understanding of digital marketing channels, including email marketing, websites and social media
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn with a growth mindset toward developing new skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with social media management
- Familiarity with campaign reporting tools such as Hootsuite or HeyOrca
- Interest in sports, entertainment or live events
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Comfortable engaging with fans and staff during live events
Additional Details
- This is a paid summer internship (stipend)
- Nights and weekends are required, including home game days
- Provides hands-on experience in sports marketing, sponsorship activation and fan engagement
