Position: Riders CREW - Entertainment and Promotions Team

The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Texas Rangers, are seeking talented individuals to join the Riders CREW and be part of the greatest show in Minor League Baseball. 

ABOUT THE ROUGHRIDERS
The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers and are located in Frisco, Texas (about 25 miles north of downtown Dallas) within the largest media market in Minor League Baseball. The RoughRiders have a terrific collaboration with all of the Frisco-based franchises, along with our Major League affiliate, the Texas Rangers, providing the candidate with a unique opportunity to network and collaborate with colleagues in major league sports. 

Position Overview: The Riders CREW is a co-ed interactive group that represents the Frisco RoughRiders at all home games and events throughout the community including charity and promotional events. CREW members are responsible for facilitating in-game promotions, choosing contestants, pumping up the crowd, assisting the mascot and having high energy every game. The ultimate goal of this position is to create an enthusiastic, energetic, and positive game environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet fans as they enter the ballpark and hand out promotional items.  
  • Entertain fans in the stands during the games.
  • Choose contestants for in-game promotions.
  • Ensure all contests and props are ready for in-game promotions before the promotion.
  • Activate all promotions that are held during pregame, inning breaks, stop-in-play and postgame.
  • Provide an exciting and fun atmosphere for fans of all ages.
  • Act as an entertainment support system to encourage fan engagement and build the Riders brand.
  • Interact and communicate with fans and staff positively and professionally.
  • Excellent communication skills. Must be articulate, enthusiastic and have a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of baseball
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Must be able to lift 25 - 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Needs a hands-on, positive energy, great sense of humor and outgoing attitude.
  • Enjoys interaction with fans of all ages & must be at ease in front of a crowd.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to take direction well, follow instructions and make decisions on the spot.
  • Must collaborate well in a team environment.
  •  Live entertainment background a plus (cheer, dance, theater, etc...)
