POSITION OVERVIEW
Primarily responsible for all operational and maintenance requirements of Riders Field and surrounding facility.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- In charge of managing daily operation of Riders Field and compilation of daily reports of events, tasks and status
- Lead facility manager on-site during all RoughRiders and other major ballpark events
- Direct all facets of the Riders Field cleaning program including overseeing both in-house janitors as well as third party cleaning company
- Oversee security at the stadium including the alarm system, video cameras, and securing the ballpark each day, including after games and events
- Coordinate the setup and tear down of the facility for every event, including non-baseball events and stadium rentals as well as assisting with execution of said events.
- Oversee stadium emergency and safety plan
- Organize and control stadium storage areas
- Act as liaison with both clubhouse managers with daily communication to make sure all needs are met.
- Assume management responsibility for all services and activities involved in maintenance and operations, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, chillers, refrigeration, ice making, boilers and associated equipment.
- Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan for facility maintenance and operations
- Participate in the development and administration of the Operations budget; forecast of additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitor and approve expenditures; implement adjustments as necessary.
- Direct and monitor the work of contractors, engineers, and architects on building projects.
- Assist in ensuring the stadium is in perfect working condition and is a safe environment for staff, fans and players
- Serve as liaison between city and surrounding venues and facilities
- Work closely with key RoughRiders and RS3 colleagues to staff and coordinate each ballpark event
- Coordinate with sponsorship and ticket sales teams in planning and executing private team VIP events such as Holiday Party, Season Ticket Holder Batting Practice, Sponsor Days at the Ballpark, Movie Nights, etc.
- Report directly to the General Manager
· Other duties and projects as assigned by ownership and/or senior management
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- 3-5 years of experience in professional sports or venue facility management
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication, customer service and problem solving skills
- Ability to function in fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and adhere to deadlines
- Candidate must successfully pass a background check
