The Amarillo Sod Poodles are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Marketing Analytics Intern to support the Marketing Director in understanding our fans, strengthening our digital strategy, and growing attendance at HODGETOWN. This internship offers hands-on experience in sports marketing, data analytics, and digital advertising within a fast-paced, fun, and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze fan and customer data to uncover trends, insights, and opportunities that drive ticket sales and engagement
- Evaluate and interpret zip code and geographic data to help optimize and propel targeted digital advertising campaigns
- Assist with the planning, execution, and performance tracking of email marketing campaigns, including segmentation and reporting
- Help schedule, manage, and analyze paid social media advertising focused on single-game ticket sales and promotions
- Support the organization and maintenance of the Sod Poodles’ marketing data warehouse, working closely with the Marketing Director
- Create reports and dashboards to summarize campaign performance and fan behavior in a clear, actionable way
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director to align data insights with promotional strategies
- Assist with additional marketing projects and game-day support as needed
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Analytics, Business, Data Science, Sports Management, or a related field
- Strong interest in sports marketing, data analytics, and fan engagement
- Comfortable working with data sets, spreadsheets, and basic reporting tools (Excel/Google Sheets required; experience with CRM is a plus)
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms (email marketing tools, social media advertising, Google Analytics, etc.) is a bonus
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate data into insights
- Passion for sports and willingness to learn in a hands-on environment
