The Texas Rangers are looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator to help enhance and manage accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices. This role will also involve handling vendor and internal employee inquiries related to payments and other related financial duties. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, team-player individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:
Assist the Account Payables team in the following areas:
Concur management, including system administration, policy management, reporting, training new users, and improvement to current processes.
Ensure sales tax compliance related to vendors.
Form 1099 processing.
Communicate effectively with both external vendors and internal employees regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process, including processing invoices for payment and recording sales tax.
Verify accuracy of vendor invoices and confirm that the correct approvals and general ledger account codes are provided by approver.
Process accounts payable invoices to ensure timely payment to vendors.
Review paid and unpaid invoices, including cleared payment inquiries and check voiding to maintain accurate files and records.
Monitor and update recurring payments to ensure correct coding and authorization, as well as confirming sufficient contracts and/or documentation are in place.
Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree preferred.
10+ years in accounts payable or related finance role.
Knowledge of SAGE 500 a plus.
Concur experience is preferred.
Sales tax and Form 1099 experience.
Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Motivated self-starter.
Ability to interact with all levels of staff, including upper management.
Strong customer service and networking skills.
Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
