JOB SUMMARY: The Texas Rangers are looking for a Scheduling Coordinator who serves as the primary scheduling coordinator for Guest Services staffing for both Texas Rangers baseball games and REV events at Globe Life Field and Choctaw Stadium. This role is responsible for building staffing templates, staffing the template, and making necessary adjustments as needed to ensure appropriate staffing coverage. This position will be the main point of contact for all event staff related to event staffing, communication, and deployment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:

  • Coordinate and manage Guest Services staffing schedules for all Texas Rangers baseball games and REV events at Globe Life Field and Choctaw Stadium, ensuring appropriate coverage based on event needs, attendance projections, and operational priorities.

  • Create dot maps for staffing templates, cost analysis reports, staffing cost estimate reports, and post position assignments and duties.

  • Monitor and adjust staffing schedules by tracking availability submissions, shift swaps, and call-ins, while communicating updates to supervisors and staff to maintain consistent event coverage.

  • Collaborate with Guest Services leadership and supervisors to identify staffing challenges and prioritize post positions to ensure adjustments are made in a timely fashion.

  • Track and analyze call-in trends by maintaining accurate data in Guest Services database, leveraging insights to identify patterns, improving attendance reliability, and informing future staffing and scheduling decisions.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling-related inquiries, providing timely support to staff and supervisors regarding availability, shifts, and coverage needs.

  • Support onboarding and training of new staff on scheduling platforms, expectations, and processes to ensure smooth integration into event operations.

  • Maintain accurate staffing records and scheduling documentation while supporting operational planning for both baseball and REV events at Globe Life Field and Choctaw Stadium.

  • Payroll approval for all Guest Services Supervisors and guest service personnel.

  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB EXPECTATIONS:

  • Attend departmental meetings and event briefings.

  • Maintain strong communication with Guest Services leadership regarding event operations, accessibility services, and scheduling needs.

  • Demonstrate flexibility to support operational needs across REV events, including lead on duty coverage and logistical support for the Guest Services department.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience performing scheduling of large staff.

  • Working knowledge of computer software and smart phone applications. 

  • Proficient knowledge in the Microsoft Suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Word.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in non-office environments, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.

  • Required to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, stand, or walk for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
