JOB SUMMARY: The Multicultural Content Coordinator will be responsible for elevating the club’s Multicultural content.  The primary focus will be on digital content which includes “Los Rangers”, the Texas Rangers Spanish social channels. This includes the development of authentic and engaging content, online community management and engagement, and real-time social media coverage of Rangers-affiliated baseball games and events. Additionally, the Multicultural Content Coordinator will assist in the development of content strategies and initiatives that authentically engage and resonate with our multicultural audiences.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Concept, create, edit, and publish content for team’s Spanish social media channels, Los Rangers.

  • Cover Rangers games on Los Rangers channels with creative real-time messaging and tactics that authentically engage followers and non-followers of the Rangers.

  • Edit in-game videos in real-time for quick turnaround on Los Rangers channels.

  • Establish the voice of Los Rangers to promote positive and authentic fan engagement to drive demand for Rangers content.

  • Contribute in the ideation and execution of content strategies and initiatives that authentically engage and resonate with multicultural audiences, including but not limited to Hispanic, African American and Asian American Pacific Islander.

  • Collaborate with peers within the marketing department (Content, Graphics, Ballpark Entertainment, and Digital & Social) to help develop, create and execute content and initiatives that authentically engage and resonate with multicultural audiences, including but not limited to Hispanic, African American and Asian American Pacific Islander.

  • Proactively monitor content trends, new platforms, and best practices to consistently provide cutting-edge Rangers content.

  • Collaborate across the organization to concept, create and schedule upcoming social media posts for variety of Rangers initiatives, partnerships, and offers.

  • Moderate all user-generated content on multiple platforms and engage with followers.

  • Compile recap reports of social content when requested.

  • Work nights, weekends, and some holidays, based on the baseball season schedule.

  • Attend select Globe Life Field and/or Rangers-related events to collect content and post on specific channels.

  • Be a creative resource to help develop and support non-content driven Multicultural marketing initiatives as needed.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS       

  • 1-2 years of work experience in social media management & content creation.

  • Experience with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Light Room, Photoshop, and other editing software.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, as well as fluency in Spanish required.

  • Strong understanding of Hispanic culture.

  • Vast understanding of the sports industry’s social media landscape.

  • Exceptional communication skills, including writing and grammatical ability.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Multimedia Journalism, or related field.

  • Knowledge of Texas Rangers and baseball heavily preferred.

  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in tight deadlines.

  • Ability to work long hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays.

  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented .
