JOB SUMMARY: The IT Cloud Engineer plays a critical role in the support, design, and management of day-to-day activities within the multiple cloud environment. The role will provide hands-on execution, troubleshooting, and collaboration with other departments while learning and applying cloud-native best practices. The role will also contribute to escalated problem resolution by giving in-person hands-on support to end users when necessary. This role will be hands-on with project delivery, along with on-site support for stadium events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Maintain and support Windows and Linux systems across on-premises, AWS, GCP, Azure any other cloud infrastructure.
Optimize and troubleshoot both cloud-based and on-prem resources to ensure high performance and reliability.
Conduct architecture reviews and provide recommendations for optimization, scalability, and performance.
Oversee resource utilization, subscription management, and cost monitoring for AWS platform.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop cloud strategies that meet business goals.
Document solution designs, architecture diagrams, and operational guides.
Support cloud migrations, including assessment, planning, and execution.
Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
Develop routines for end users to facilitate best practices within cloud use.
Provide governance and best practice framework to cloud consumers within the organization.
Manage and/or guide junior members of the team.
Guide customers and internal teams in implementing secure, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions.
Design end-to-end cloud-based solutions leveraging SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS technologies.
All other duties assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field and/or 5+ years equivalent work experience
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect)
3-7 years of experience supporting enterprise-level IT infrastructure
Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architecture experience
Strong understanding of cloud structures, theories, principles, and practices
Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting on-premises and off-premise servers
Project management experience
Strong technical documentation skills
Ability to conduct research into database issues, standards, and products as required
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
Good written and oral communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Highly self-motivated and directed
Keen attention to detail
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Overtime may be required in meet project deadlines
On-call availability including some weekends, evenings, and holidays as assigned.
Sitting for extended periods of time
Knowledge of ITIL processes and enterprise IT operations
Proficiency in cloud networking, storage, compute, and identity/access management
Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
