JOB SUMMARY: The Business Communications Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the communications and marketing efforts of the Texas Rangers by executing strategic initiatives that elevate the club’s brand, drive fan engagement, and promote key events and ticketing campaigns. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented communicator with strong writing, editing, and relationship-building skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Support communications and marketing efforts of the Texas Rangers Baseball Club, including Rangers Sports Network, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, and REV Entertainment.

  • Assist in drafting press materials such as press releases, media advisories, and media pitches to promote club initiatives and events.

  • Contribute written content for publications such as Rangers Magazine, Yearbook, and bi-weekly Youth Academy Notebook.

  • Assist in organization of media and influencer campaigns that amplify brand messaging and club promotions, events, and ticket products.

  • Aid with media management for special events, including day-of coordination.

  • Coordinate and strategize with radio local radio stations on ticket giveaways and other promotional content to support brand awareness.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive event calendar, media lists, and influencer roster to ensure coordinated and efficient communications efforts.

  • Create media reports and recaps documenting coverage of club initiatives and events to help inform future strategic decisions.

  • Cultivate strong partnerships across internal departments and with external stakeholders (media, influencers, agencies, etc.).

  • Contribute to administrative tasks for both baseball and business communications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Marketing/Communications background or education preferred.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills.

  • Outstanding communication, copy editing, and writing skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).

  • Motivated self-starter.

  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff including upper management.

  • Strong customer service and networking skills.

  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.

  • Deep familiarity with the Dallas-Fort Worth media and influencer landscape.

  • Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) or other language skills is a plus.

  • Familiarity with MLB and professional sports preferred.
