Acadiana Cane Cutters is a summer collegiate baseball team which has been part of the Texas Collegiate League for 14 years.

We are looking for a full-time Director of Sales who will work with the team to expand our customer base in sponsorship sales, season tickets, and group outings. You will be a critical part of the team operation, and you will help to market the team and participate in theme night development.

Primary Duties – Off Season
  • Meet and exceed sales goals
  • Effectively follow up with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Develop new business via phone calls, emails, social media, community events, grassroots marketing, and face-to-face meetings, all documented in the Score CRM
  • Proactively create opportunities for new business through referrals and upselling
  • Recruit and interview interns for spring and summer internships
  • Manage Social Media for the Cane Cutters
  • Manage the Cane Cutters website using our website tools
  • Assist with designing promotional literature
  • Assist with designing and ordering ballpark signage
  • Work with Owners and other staff to create, plan, sell, and execute other events at Fabacher Field in year-round operation

Additional Primary Duties – During Season
  • Oversee ticket office operations
  • Supervise interns and gameday staff, with assistance from other management
  • Assist Owner with roster management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in business, sales, marketing, sports management, or a similar concentration
  • Proven sports sales ability
  • Experience in managing social media and marketing efforts
  • Good business-level Information Technology skills
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of an organization
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Extremely coachable and eager to learn every day
  • Disciplined self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Highly motivated individual with a strong desire to build a career in the sports business
  • Ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends, as required, generally during the summer season

  • Strong social media expertise
  • Video editing skills
