The Tennessee Smokies, AA Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, are in search for a Director of Ticket and Group Sales. This position will oversee the entire ticket and group sales department. This position will report directly to the General Manager.

Oversee the entire ticket and group sales staff including full time and seasonal positions.
Take ownership of the overall planning, development, implementation and administration of the department.
Assist in the short term and long-term planning of the department.
Oversee the ticket and groups planning, selling, and execution for the expected 2024 downtown Knoxville stadium, which would start as early as 2023.
Manage and be held accountable for the expense and revenue budgets set forth by the executive team.
Establish challenging and attainable goals for each sales representative.
Be held accountable for the departments sales goals.
Lead initial and continuous training for full time and seasonal staff, lead sales meetings for the department, and update weekly sales reports.
Develop creative ticket packages, group opportunities, and incentives for our fans.
Hire and schedule all gameday staff related to the box office, ticket takers and group area tenants.
Run daily and weekly finance reports related to the sales department.
Oversee commission and payroll reports and code accounts payable invoices and purchases for the department.
Reconcile the monthly income and expenses with the finance department.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Management experience required.
Minimum 3 years in a sales leadership role required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must possess an eagerness to lead with an exceptional work ethic.
Self-driven with a positive attitude and able to handle multiple tasks at once.
Extremely organized with a strong attention to detail.
Experience with TicketReturn, SCORE, and knowledge on additional ticketing systems preferred.
