The Rocket City Trash Pandas, proud Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, are seeking a Community Relations and Mascot Intern for the Fall Season. Student credit hours are required.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Community Relations and Mascot intern to provide support and assist the Community Relations Department and the Trash Pandas Foundation community programs and events.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and assist in the execution of the Trash Pandas kids club (promotion, registration, fulfillment of membership benefits, monthly newsletter)
- Ability to be the mascot multiple times a week
- Ability to coordinate and reserve community events
- Fulfill all donation requests in a timely manner and update donation inventory
- Handle scheduling requests for Trash Pandas mascot appearances and ballpark tours
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to work flexible and demanding hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and ability to take initiative with projects and events
- Have exceptional customer service and be a committed team player
- Willingness to wear a mascot costume
