Summary/Objective
A trainee with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos works in an organization and environment that is recognized as one of the best in minor league baseball. The Blue Wahoos hope to provide each trainee valuable work experience, and great preparation for a full-time position with the Blue Wahoos or other sports organizations. The position is seasonal, generally limited to a maximum of 30 hours per week and does not include benefits other than pay.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for the maintenance of all equipment throughout the facility to help insure proper and safe operation of the facility on a daily basis.
• Execute and manage in-stadium operations including cleaning, upkeep and general maintenance to ensure facility is in the best possible condition
• Organize and manage service contracts the facility has with outside vendors on routine maintenance and preventative maintenance upkeep of the facility to ensure compliance with terms of contract.
• Assist in preparation and management of the operations budget.
• Manage, train and motivate the departmental employees.
• Adequately schedule all part time staff during the season.
• Purchase all materials required for the Operations Department
• Responsible for OSHA compliance of systems and resources for facility.
• Monitor in-stadium signage: ensure all signs are hanging properly, all flags are flying properly and not ripped or caught on barriers
• Perform routine security checks of all suites, restrooms, and press box
• Maintain the concourse games, inflatables and customer service booth throughout the year to ensure it is in the best possible shape for presentation
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to pull tarp and other manual labor tasks
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred and customer service experience
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a seasonal, part-time position. Days and hours will vary to include evening and weekend work according to business needs.

The key physical requirements of this position include the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, lift up to 30 pounds, and the use of standard office equipment including computers.
