Job Summary: The Visiting Clubhouse Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Visiting Clubhouse Manager to ensure a clean, organized, and professional environment for visiting teams throughout the baseball season. This fast-paced, hands-on position assists with daily clubhouse operations, game day preparations, and the overall experience for visiting players and staff at Riverwalk Stadium.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the loading and unloading of team buses on travel days.
- Support clubhouse setup and breakdown between series.
- Manage player and staff laundry, including uniforms, towels, and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of locker rooms, dugouts, bullpens, and umpire areas.
- Assist with meal setup and breakdown for visiting teams.
- Remove trash and ensure daily sanitation of all player areas.
- Communicate player and team needs effectively to the Visiting Clubhouse Manager.
- Work collaboratively with batboys and other game day staff.
- Maintain strict team confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Commitment to the full baseball season.
- Strong teamwork, communication, organization and punctuality skills.
- General sports knowledge required; baseball knowledge preferred.
- Prior experience in a baseball or sports setting is preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid U.S. driver’s license or proof of work eligibility.
- Sewing/tailoring skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds repetitively and for extended periods of time.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, reaching, bending, grasping, lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, kneeling, and pulling.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a seasonal, part-time position. Due to the nature of this role, the position requires hours of work and days that include frequent nights, weekends, and holidays, including attendance at all home baseball games and related events.
