Job Summary:
- As the Director of Entertainment, you will be responsible for all aspects of game day entertainment at Covenant Health Park, known as America’s Friendliest Ballpark. We are looking for the best in the business to lead us into year two of our brand-new, award winning, downtown Knoxville ballpark. We’re looking for fresh new ideas and promotions while raising the bar on our classic promotions to enhance the fan experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Plan and execute pre-game, in-game, and post-game entertainment including between inning contests, fan engagement, mascot appearances and more.
- Develop a schedule of exciting entertainment outside the stadium, in our entertainment plaza, pre and post-game.
- Rotate fresh and topical contests, games, and fan engagement activities throughout the season to keep our show new and fresh.
- Hire, train, and continuously develop game staff involved with the entertainment (mascots, rally crew, on-field host).
- Work with the players and coaching staff to coordinate promotion of our themed jerseys, auctions, and in-game content.
- Write the game script for each game in coordination with the sales departments to ensure sponsorship and group requirements.
- Understand the MLB guidelines, recommendations and requirements around all game elements.
- Coordinate with the press box staff, sales teams, food and beverage, social media, and all departments to ensure flawless execution of our entertainment plan.
- As always in Minor League Baseball...other duties as assigned!
Compensation Package:
Base Salary: Based off experience/creativity
Bonus: Your year-end bonus will be based on overall improvement and accomplishments in the department.
Health Insurance: eligible after 60 days of employment for base coverage (family optional at employee’s expense).
Vision/Dental: Available at employee’s expense.
401 (K) Plan: Eligible on July 1st or January 1st after 1 year of service per standard terms, 5% company match is elective (not mandatory).
