JOB DESCRIPTION:
Account Executive – Ticket Sales
The Knoxville Smokies, the Double-A Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, are seeking a motivated and energetic Account Executive to join the Ticket Sales Department. This position will report directly to the Director of Ticket and Group Sales and play a key role in driving ticket revenue and creating memorable experiences for fans and corporate partners.
Responsibilities:
  • Sell season tickets, mini plans, group outings, hospitality areas, suites, and other ticket packages
  • Renew, upgrade, and service existing customer accounts
  • Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, and community engagement
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional customer service
  • Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals
  • Assist with game day responsibilities, fan engagement, and client entertainment
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity and customer interactions
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop new ideas and revenue opportunities

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Qualifications:
  • Strong desire to learn and succeed in a competitive sales environment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; sales experience is a plus
  • Ability to sell effectively over the phone, virtually, and in person
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, and goal-oriented mindset
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; ticketing/CRM systems a plus
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and long hours as needed during the season
