Job Summary:
This person should be an outgoing, energetic, creative, detail-oriented event planner with the ability to create a memorable game day and non-game day experience at the ballpark. This position will assist with transforming the entire ballpark environment to fit theme nights and create a fully immersive experience. Duties will include assisting with leading the promotions team, on-field activities, distribution of promotional giveaway items, mascot performances, and revenue-generating non-baseball special events.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation and execution of on-field activities both pre-game (national anthem, first pitches, pregame ceremonies), in-game, and post-game to create a memorable experience
- Execution of theme nights and special events
- Assist with planning of the promotional calendar
- Create and implement mascot routines
- Assist with leading the game day promotions team, emcee and mascots
- Assist with the planning, promotion, and execution of special events to ensure a superior experience
- Assist with plan and implement promotional strategy for all events
- Other related duties as required
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in event management, marketing or related field
- 1-2 years experience in event management and/or customer service
- Emcee experience is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent oral communication and customer service skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Well-developed interpersonal skills; professionalism
- Proficient computer skills with MS Office experience
- Ability to anticipate and problem solve
- This position requires someone to work long hours at certain periods over the year which includes weekends, holidays
- Physical requirement (lifting 50 pounds many times per day, standing and walking for long periods)
