About the Rome Emperors:
The Rome Emperors, High-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, bring exciting baseball and interactive fan experiences to AdventHealth Stadium. With a growing roster of future MLB stars and a commitment to community engagement, they are a proud part of Rome, Georgia. The Rome Emperors are a proud member club of Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH). DBH was formed in 2021 to support, promote, and enhance Minor League Baseball through best practices, professional management, innovation, and investment.
Position Overview:
This internship provides hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a Minor League Baseball club, offering valuable insight into the sports industry. You’ll learn the fundamentals of sports ticket sales by assisting with outbound calls, lead generation, and fan outreach initiatives.
Compensation:
The Team will provide you with a monthly stipend of $500 for your living expenses and you will be paid hourly for all games that you are scheduled at $9.00 in addition.
Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
- Learn to generate new business leads through phone, email, and in-person outreach.
- Assist in creating and maintaining prospect lists in the ticketing CRM system.
- Gain experience supporting group outings, theme nights, and community ticket programs.
- Learn to handle inbound ticket inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Support ticket fulfillment, printing, and gameday ticket sales operations.
- Participate in staff sales meetings and training sessions to develop professional sales skills.
- Collaborate with other departments to support ticket promotions and events.
