Essential Functions:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Retail Merchandise Intern to provide support to our management team and to provide excellent customer service to our patrons. A Merchandise Intern assists the Manager, Retail Merchandise in the day-to-day operations of the Retail Merchandise Department. The ideal candidate will be able to learn quickly and function in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
• Ability to maintain a neat & professional appearance
• Ability to work in a high paced environment
• Electronic and computer proficiency
• Excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness
• High attention to detail
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Duties:
• Assisting customers and actively selling during operating hours
• Assisting guests with finding novelties, sizes, hats, etc.
• Distribute promotional items designed to help increase fan spirit and attendance at games
• Interact with fans before and during games
• Receiving orders and conducting monthly inventory
• Representing organization in the community
• Scheduling and training hourly Team Store employees when needed
• Keeping eyes on guests at all times as to be attentive to them and their needs
• Keeping the floor space clean, free of fallen items, and moved items replaced to their original location
• Keeping the Team Store sales floor, and stock room, fully stocked and organized
• Keeping upbeat atmosphere before, during and after games
• Process received online orders
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Flexibility to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to problem solve quickly, work efficiently in an intense environment
• Sales, merchandising, OpSuite POS system, and customer service experience is a plus
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented
• Some heavy lifting is required

General Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 25 lbs up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for up to 5+ hours during a game
• Ability to work long hours, weekends & holidays
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including but not limited to rain and heat
