Grounds Crew – Seasonal
Reports To: Director, Field Operations
Starting Pay Rate: $10/hr
SUMMARY
Seasonal Grounds Crew members support all aspects of baseball field preparation, maintenance, and game-day operations. This role requires physical stamina, teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare, maintain, and repair the playing field before, during, and after games.
• Perform sod cutting, installation, mowing, trimming, and blower operation.
• Assist in infield, mound, bullpen, and home plate construction and maintenance.
• Water and mow turf; support daily grass care routines.
• Paint field markings including foul lines and batter’s boxes.
• Assist with tarp pulling during inclement weather.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Support non-game event setup as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head & Assistant Groundskeepers.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and wheelbarrows.
• Ability to operate lightweight motorized equipment safely.
• Working knowledge of sports field maintenance preferred.
• Must be able to work Opening Day and July 3rd.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for 5–8 hours.
• Strong teamwork, reliability, and integrity.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
