The Bowling Green Hot Rods are seeking a high energy, hardworking individual to join our staff for the 2026 season as the Social Media and Marketing Manager!
This position would be responsible for taking control of the Hot Rods brand through social media and marketing initiatives (such as TV, Print, Radio etc). This position will also help create engaging in-game promotions, creating and implementing new theme nights and helping develop engaging content to promote the Hot Rods brand. This includes grassroots marketing, as well as being a great ambassador for the Bowling Green Hot Rods!
Responsibilities:
- Take control of the ballpark brands (Hot Rods, Bourbon and Brewfest, Turbo) via social media and other marketing avenues.
- Including scheduling, boosting, running ads and targeting demographics for social content
- Build, maintain and share social media and marketing publishing calendar.
- Scripting and scheduling TV, Print, Social and grassroots marketing campaigns to promote the Hot Rods brands.
- Help assist the Promotions Department in finding new and fun ways to help engage fans in Bowling Green Ballpark through sponsored promotions
- Assist in creating the Hot Rods promotional calendar and theme nights
- Continuing to promote the Hot Rods brand in the Bowling Green and Southern Kentucky community to help draw prospective fans to games with grassroots marketing tactics such as coordinating distribution of all marketing materials throughout the community and stadium, including pocket schedules, print/digital programs, posters, handouts, etc.
- Assist in completing game itineraries in-advance of home games that are clear and organized
- Assist in scheduling pre-game events such as National Anthem Singers and Field of Dream participants
- Lead and manage team of Social Media and Promotional Game Day Staff
- Be constantly looking for new ideas and ways to help improve the game day environment for fans!
- Assist with community appearances with our community relations department and other team-oriented appearances
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- At least one to two years of experience in social media and marketing is required. Experience in planning promotional theme nights or events is a plus!
- A true extrovert personality who is not afraid to get out in the community and engage with fans!
- Passionate creator who can develop content with little guideline or instruction
- A “can-do” attitude that is willing to put in the work to set a high standard
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the season
- A team player who is willing to help out in a close office environment
