The Bowling Green Hot Rods are heading into their 17th season in Bowling Green and are looking to make it the best season yet! The Hot Rods aim to provide the best family fun entertainment you can find in South Central Kentucky all year long through dynamic partnerships, fun and engaging theme nights, and special events at Bowling Green Ballpark.
Internship Objective:
The Bowling Green Hot Rods are now seeking a Graphic Design Intern for the upcoming 2026 season. Specifically, we are looking for highly motivated and driven individuals to learn under our 2026 staff. Through an internship with the Hot Rods, you will gain valuable real-world experience working for a professional sports organization. You will also be elected to be a team player and fill different roles on occasion. The goal for our creative interns is giving them an opportunity to contribute fresh ideas through a different set of lenses.
Internship Specific Responsibilities:
● Assist the Creative Services department with marketing materials across all social media platforms, website, and print applications, including but not limited to flyers, posters, signage, print ads, etc.
● Assist the Creative Services Department with game-day and themed graphics for social media, website, print applications, and scoreboard
● Utilizing resource libraries to implement & uphold brand guidelines for the Hot Rods and all alternate identities in all promotional material
● Assist in the control room and with game day staffing, where needed. Duties include but are not limited to: camera operator, line-score, music, video board, etc.
● Other duties as assigned
Desired Skills, Qualifications and Requirements:
● Proficient skills in Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign
● Ability to communicate and collaborate within a fast-paced team environment
● Strong organizational and time-management skills
● Ability to multi-task, handling multiple projects while maintaining quality standards
● Attention to detail & creativity
● Able to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
● Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and Holidays
● Commitment to the entire season including playoffs
