Description: The Bowling Green Hot Rods are looking for a candidate to fill the role of Broadcast & Media Relations Assistant. The successful candidate will report to the Broadcast and Media Relations Manager while assisting with the daily operations of the Media Department and the broadcast of the game. This individual should be a hardworking, detail-oriented, self-starter who is eager to learn and contribute. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Compile and distribute game notes, rosters, and stat packs at home
  • Write and disseminate game recaps at home 
  • Broadcast three innings of play-by-play and six innings of color commentary for every home game
  • Occasionally assist with special events the ballpark when team is on the road
  • Assist with tarp pulls or other game prep as needed 
  • Represent the Hot Rods at assigned community events and appearances
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication & organization skills 
  • Broadcasting or Public Relations course path is preferred, but not required 
  • Previous experience in broadcasting and public relations is preferred, but not required 
  • Ability to work all Hot Rods home games; includes ability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign & Microsoft Office Suite preferred but not required
 
Schedule: As an assistant for the Hot Rods, you will be required to work both in the office and during home games. The Hot Rods play 132 games beginning April 3, 2026, and end upon the conclusion of the Hot Rods season in September. This internship has a start date of March 16, 2026, with minor flexibility if needed. The end date is flexible, based on needs, availability, and any potential Hot Rods Playoff games.
