Position Title: Manager/Director of Corporate Partnerships (Title based on experience)
Department: Corporate Partnerships / Sales
Reports To: General Manager – Aberdeen IronBirds
Position Type: Full-Time

Position Overview
The Manager/Director of Corporate Partnerships is responsible for driving revenue through the sale and fulfillment of sponsorships, advertising, and premium hospitality packages for the Aberdeen IronBirds. This role will focus on developing new business, maintaining strong relationships with existing partners, and creating customized marketing solutions that deliver measurable value to our clients. This title and scope of responsibilities will be adjusted based on the candidate’s level of experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales & Business Development
    • Identify, prospect, and close new corporate partnership opportunities with local, regional, and national companies.
    • Create and present tailored sponsorship proposals that align with client objectives.
    • Negotiate partnership agreements, contracts, and renewal items.
  • Account Management
    • Serve as the primary contact for assigned corporate partners, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
    • Coordinate partnership activation, including signage, promotions, digital campaigns, hospitality, and in-game elements.
    • Provide regular performance reports and recaps to partners, demonstrating ROI.
  • Collaboration & Execution
    • Work closely with marketing, operations, and ticketing teams to ensure all partnership elements are executed accurately and on time.
    • Assist with game-day and special event duties related to partnership fulfillment and hospitality.
    • Represent the IronBirds at networking events, business functions, and in the local community to build relationships and generate leads.
  • Administration & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records in CRM (Glitnir or similar) for sales activity, contracts, and client communications
    • Meet or exceed annual sales revenue goals.
    • Prepare regular reports on sales pipeline, projections, and progress toward goals.

Qualifications
  • Required
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field.
    • Proven track record in sales, preferably in sports, entertainment, media, or related industries.
    • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to connect with decision-makers.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Preferred
    • Experience selling sponsorships and managing activation in professional or collegiate sports.
    • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
    • Knowledge of the Aberdeen/greater Baltimore business community.

  • Base salary commensurate with experience (Manager or Director level).

Attain Partners, the owner of the Aberdeen IronBirds, is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Individual base salary for this position is unique to each candidate and will be commensurate with experience, education, and skills, ranging between $35,900 - $50,000. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for commission upon achieving set metrics.
