Position Overview
The Aberdeen IronBirds are currently accepting applications for the Home Clubhouse Manager position for the upcoming 2026 season. This seasonal role runs from May through approximately early September, and requires availability for all home games during that time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning of the clubhouse – daily locker room area, shower area, toilet area, coaches’/manager’s offices, training area and laundry area. Monthly shampoo carpets and deep clean clubhouse. 
  • Team meals –prepare the pre-game spread following batting practice and for picking up post-game meal for the players and umpires.  Responsible for some shopping for certain clubhouse amenities.
  • Handle all laundry – Home/vising team (personals, uniforms, and towels), umpires, Ferrous and Ripcord costume etc…
  • Uniforms – issue all necessary equipment to players and coaches; responsible for taking jerseys and pants to be repaired/names put on back.
  • Attendance – on game days must arrive at the clubhouse prior to the arrival of the players and coaches in order to address uniform, equipment and visiting team issues.  Must be present to see team off for road trips and present upon their arrival from road trips.  Responsible for picking up and washing visiting team uniforms when they arrive in Aberdeen dirty.  During road trips will be responsible for assisting the Operations staff in the daily activities as well as maintaining and improving the clubhouse.  
  • Inventory – responsible for tracking and maintaining adequate inventory of supplies and equipment. (i.e. Laundry chemicals, cleaning supplies, trash can liners, seeds, bubble gum, pants, socks, belts, bats, balls, hats (home, road & BP), (rosin and pine tar)
  • Assist other departments – assist marketing department with procurement of donation items and scheduling of player appearances.  Make sure both pass list are given to the box office in a timely manner on all game days.  
  • Game day staff – assist with the management and supervision of the visiting clubhouse manager(s) and batboys, this will include hiring, scheduling and staying within budget. 
  • All other duties as assigned by the General Manager. 


Qualifications
  • Individual seeking entry into the sports industry.
  • Experience in clubhouse or team operations is preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • The Clubhouse Manager must be able to work a normal workweek prior to the start of the season, and will be responsible for assisting the Operations staff. 
  • Once the season begins, the Clubhouse Manager must be able to work odd hours, as well as work all 42 homes games, special events, and the post-season if necessary.


Additional Information
