Job Summary
The Stadium Operations Assistant supports all aspects of stadium operations to ensure Sutter Health Park is maintained as a clean, safe, and guest-ready venue. This role is responsible for daily stadium maintenance, accurate setup for baseball games, special events, and concerts, and completing a wide range of maintenance, installation, and repair projects throughout the facility. The position requires responding promptly to in-event maintenance needs, following safety procedures, and meeting quality and timeliness standards set by Stadium Operations Coordinators. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, energetic, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, including nights, weekends, holidays, and inclement weather.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of the Operations Department.
  • Perform daily stadium maintenance to ensure the facility remains in excellent condition.
  • Set up and break down field, seating, and operational elements for baseball games.
  • Prepare and convert spaces for special events and concerts according to event specifications.
  • Complete painting, cleaning, and general maintenance projects throughout the stadium and surrounding areas.
  • Support installation projects, including stadium signage, light fixtures, and other operational components.
  • Maintain restrooms and facility fixtures to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
  • Complete all assigned tasks on time and in accordance with standards established by Stadium Operations Coordinators.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to maintenance calls during events.
  • Help maintain the overall appearance of Sutter Health Park, ensuring a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for all guests.
  • Follow and enforce established safety procedures at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Follow direction and guidance from management effectively.
  • Safely and efficiently use hand tools and power tools.
  • Operate forklifts and maintenance carts as needed.
  • Identify and resolve basic mechanical or operational issues.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
  • Interact with guests and coworkers in a professional, courteous, and enthusiastic manner.
  • Bring a high-energy, flexible approach and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be available to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to bend, lift, twist, climb, walk up and down stairs, stoop and kneel.
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather.

 

Compensation

This position is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt role with an expected pay of $16.90/hr.
