Job Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining safety and security at Sutter Health Park by monitoring activity, enforcing policies, and responding promptly to incidents or emergencies. Working closely with the Security Manager and event operations team, Security Officers patrol assigned areas, screen guests for prohibited items, monitor surveillance systems, and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary. This role requires strong situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm and decisive in fast-paced, high-energy environments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Screen guests and inspect personal belongings to ensure prohibited items do not enter the stadium.
- Patrol and monitor assigned areas of the facility and report suspicious behavior or safety concerns to the Security Manager.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and observe crowd activity to identify potential risks.
- Respond to emergencies and contact law enforcement, fire department, or emergency services as necessary.
- Conduct after-hours security checks of doors, windows, and gates to ensure the facility is secure.
- Investigate and document reports of suspicious or unsafe activity on the property.
- Reasonably detain individuals suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives, in accordance with training and company policy.
- Escort terminated employees, trespassers, or other unauthorized individuals off the premises as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall stadium safety and operations.

Education & Experience
- Valid Security Guard Card required.
- Previous security experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to patrol the property and quickly access all areas of the facility.
- Ability to physically restrain or detain individuals when necessary.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods while monitoring surveillance equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Compensation
This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a base pay rate of $17.50 per hour. Final compensation will be determined within the parameters of the posted range.
