Job Summary
The Sales Experience Intern role is ideal for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about creating memorable and engaging fan experiences at Sutter Health Park. This position supports the planning, coordination, and execution of Ticket Sales & Services experiences and events for the Sacramento River Cats and Athletics. The intern will assist with game-day and non-game-day activations, including fan experiences, pre-game performances, membership events, and large group outings. Working closely with the Sales Experience Coordinator and cross-functional departments, the Sales Experience Intern helps deliver high-quality events that build lasting relationships with fans while gaining hands-on experience in sports sales, service, and event operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists in Fan Experiences, Pre-Game Performances/Events, Membership Events, as well as coordinate and managing large group activities.
- Manage and lead components of event planning to ensure quality experiences for ticket holders and season ticket members.
- Brainstorm and cultivate engaging events and activations to be hosted on game days and non-game days.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Support the Sales Experience Coordinator in communicating with internal and external partners/vendors for event management
- Enhance the guest experience by answering questions, addressing guest concerns, and ensuring a safe and clean stadium.
- Support in the execution of promotional ticket experiences and campaigns which includes managing inventory of sales resources, assembling prize packs, and distributing giveaways.
- Collaborate in small and large team settings, often between multiple departments.
- Assist in record-keeping for the Ticket Sales & Services team such as event and attendance reports.
- Perform all other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid CA Driver’s License.
- Must have minimum 1 year experience in a service role including restaurants, hotels, sport venues, theme parks, or academic course work equivalent.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to focus on both small and big picture details.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions including rain, cold, high heat, and direct sunlight.
- Must be able to work both River Cats & Athletics games which includes nights and weekends.
- Must be able to work at least four days per week.
Compensation
This position is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt role with an expected pay of $16.90/hr.
