Working alongside the Sr. Manager of Stadium Operations, the Manager of Stadium Operations supports the execution and day-to-day oversight of stadium operations, including facility upkeep, event and game setup, changeovers, and overall ballpark cleanliness. This role plays a key part in ensuring the stadium is consistently guest-ready, operationally efficient, and aligned with department standards.

The Manager partners closely with internal teams and third-party vendors—including engineering, janitorial, and contracted services—to maintain a safe, clean, and fully functional environment for all events. During games and events, this position prioritizes service response and operational needs by directing and supporting Stadium Operations Coordinators and Assistants, helping deliver a seamless and high-quality guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completes hands on work including but not limited to the set-up and tear down of special events equipment including fencing, stanchions, and barricades, performs routine preventative and reactive maintenance in preparation of and during events, and assists the engineer in completing larger scale projects.  
  • Directly oversee the scheduling, payroll, and work assignments for the Stadium Operations Coordinator and assist the Coordinator in completing these tasks for the part-time Stadium Operations Assistants.  
  • Attend and participate in regular meetings regarding baseball games and events, ensuring that operating departments receive pertinent information for the most effective use of the facility and provide updates on any outstanding set-up needs.   
  • Instills a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to the Coordinator and Assistants when carrying out jobs for other departments, clients, or guests. 
  • Ensures the stadium Work Orders are completed in a timely manner and are executed according to departmental standards and that stakeholders are kept informed of project timelines.  
  • Alongside the Director of Stadium Operations, is responsible for the successful operation of baseball games and special events. 
  • Ensures equipment has been inventoried and accounted for at the beginning and end of every season including reporting which equipment may need to be repaired or replaced.  
  • Assists in the development and implementation preventive maintenance schedules, emergency procedures, safety and Risk Management policies in compliance with all company and governmental regulations.  
  • Ensure facility’s fire and emergency safety systems are in operating order and compliant with all codes, ordinances and laws.  
  • Various other duties and projects as assigned.  

Management Responsibilities:   

  • Manages and assigns work to the Stadium Operations Coordinator and Assistants. 
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.  
  • Attend meetings and training sessions, as requested.  

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in event set-up or facility management. 
  • Proven ability to lead a team in the completion of tasks and projects related to facility management, cleanliness, maintenance, and/or event set-up.  
  • Experience completing work in one or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and/or general maintenance.  
  • Demonstrated ability to read floor plans, event layouts, blueprints, and/or schematics to complete work orders or set-up for an event.  
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA, ADA, and emergency safety and accessibility for an event facility.  
  • Ability to communicate professionally with all stakeholders including, but not limited to, employees, vendors, event leaders, engineers, and guests.  
  • Proven ability to prioritize projects and ensure timely completion of projects.  
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the year and during baseball season from March through October.  
  • CAD experience preferred. 
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.  
  • Prior experience in a large multi-use facility hosting sporting events and special events strongly preferred.  

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to four year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: 

  • Must possess a valid California Driver's License.  
  • Forklift certification preferred.  

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work requires long periods of standing, walking, and sitting at a desk.  
  • Maintaining the facility requires bending, stooping, climbing ladders, work at height, reaching, twisting, and lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.  
  • Some work may require the ability to differentiate colors for paint, fixtures, and electrical.  
  • Candidates should expect to work outdoors in all weather conditions including low light, bright sun, hotter than average temperatures, cold, wind, and rain.  

Compensation

This position is a full-time, non-exempt role with an annual range of $52,000 - $62,400. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the compensation range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:
