The Manager of Ballpark Entertainment plays a key role in bringing A’s baseball to life at Sutter Health Park, helping craft an unforgettable, high-energy game day experience for fans. With a strong focus on game presentation and live production, this role serves as a show-caller for select A’s games and is deeply involved in shaping the in-venue entertainment from first pitch to final out.
From coordinating videoboard content and promotions to collaborating with multiple departments behind the scenes, this position is all about creating moments that excite, engage, and elevate the fan experience. In addition to A’s games, the Manager of Ballpark Entertainment will also support River Cats games and special events at Sutter Health Park, making this an ideal role for a creative, organized, and fan-first live entertainment professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively cross departmentally to develop a compelling game presentation that represents the A’s brand and achieves desired goals.
- Act as liaison between A’s entertainment and Sutter Health Park operations, security, field operations, partnerships, and marketing to ensure no communication gaps for execution of game day activations.
- Oversee detailed timing sheets, rundowns and production scripts, ensuring flawless coordination of all game experience elements.
- Serve as show-caller for select A’s games. Experience producing live events is a plus.
- Load-in videoboard content to align with game day scripts
- Coordinate and plan for gameday giveaways at the ballpark to include receiving giveaway items, set-up and tear-down day-of, and staffing to assist with giveaway.
- Assist the River Cats Promotions and Production Manager with the scheduling and management of control room staff, in-game promotions team, and A’s Hall of Fame racers.
- Coordinate with the team store on Item of the Game & Sacramento Saturday Item of the Game, and all jersey requests for A’s marketing and fan experience.
- Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Graphic Design preferred
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- 2-3 years related experience in game production and presentation. Control room experience a plus
- Familiar with ROSS products including Expression and Dashboard
- Creative, fun, collaborative, and solution-minded individual
- Must have good communication skills as well as excellent storytelling and copywriting/copyediting skills
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects)
- Proficiency with camera equipment, lighting, audio, etc.
- Strong visual eye with regards to the creation of graphics and selection of images and video content
- Knowledge of proper usage and licensing requirements for video and music
- Must be able to produce high-quality output while meeting specific deadlines sometimes under specific time constraints and/or tight deadlines
- Highly organized and self-directed with strong ability to prioritize

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation
This position is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role with an expected annual base pay of $25/hr - $30/hr. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:
