Job Summary

Sutter Health Park and the Sacramento River Cats view corporate partnerships as an innovative resource to engage our fans and community in our efforts to be the most welcoming and fun organization in sports. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Partnership Activation to lead our team focused on partnership marketing, service, and activation efforts while also managing a significant portfolio of key corporate partners. This role is responsible to help generate new revenue from existing and prospective partners, overseeing the account management and activation team, and ensuring best-in-class execution across all partnership agreements.

The Director will serve as a key relationship owner, trusted advisor, and internal leader, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful partnerships that meet partner objectives and organizational goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction for partnership sales, account management, and activation initiatives.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships for a portfolio of corporate partners, including contract activation, fulfillment, and ongoing strategy.
  • Drive new business opportunities through upsells, renewals, extensions, and incremental partnership assets.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with partners at the executive level.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key account stakeholders.
  • Lead collaboration with the Partnership Activation team to ensure high-quality execution and fulfillment of all deliverables.
  • Co-develop and track key performance metrics aligned with partner goals, including brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive recaps, renewal proposals, and performance reports.
  • Support the Vice President of Partnerships on larger strategic accounts and new business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Athletics, Kings, MLB, and MiLB partnership counterparts to identify enterprise-wide opportunities and contractual fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align partnership execution across marketing, promotions, operations, and community efforts.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel as required by the event schedule.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field.
  • 5–7+ years of experience in corporate partnerships, sponsorship sales, or client services, preferably in sports or live entertainment.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow partner relationships while driving revenue.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and sales/activation reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Client-focused mindset with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach.

 

Compensation

This position is a full-time, salary, exempt role with an expected annual base pay of $70,000 – $75,000 plus commissions and potential sales bonuses. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:
