The Communications Coordinator is responsible for managing all internal and external communications for the Sacramento River Cats. This includes a focus on baseball information, media relations and press operations as the primary point of contact for all local and national media, as well as the creation and distribution of all written communications. This individual will also manage the Sutter Health Park Press Box and its employees. This role plays a key part in the club’s overarching storytelling efforts, including messaging alignment, coordination, and the distribution of content.

Qualifications:
• Knowledge and experience with the sport of baseball required.
• Bachelor's Degree in sports management, public relations, communications, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of public relations/media relations experience; experience working for a sports team or league preferred.
• Able to multi-task under time constraints, meet deadlines and work within a fast-paced industry/environment; must be very detail-oriented.
• Proven ability to proactively pitch stories and develop storylines
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Minimal design experience to edit photos and create digital graphics preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft 365, website platform, social media platforms and Creative Cloud (e.g. In-Design, Photoshop, etc.).
• Ability and willingness to work varied and long hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation:
This position is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role with an expected pay range of $18/hr - $20/hr. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the compensation range provided.
