Position Title: Director of Maintenance
Reports To: General Manager
Responsibilities - Supervise and maintain the sports park and surrounding grounds in a healthy, eye-appealing and safe condition.
Duties – Plan, organize, and direct activities of workers engaged in facilities management, landscaping, grounds keeping and field preparation activities.
- Hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate maintenance employees.
- Maintain the facility in good operating condition.
- Monitor and control costs within the Maintenance Department.
- Communicate with and train employees about maintaining safe working conditions.
- Direct employees in their daily job duties of proper field maintenance and preparation for league games.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the park and facilities.
- Maintain and repair equipment and other items within the facility.
- Develops employee knowledge of all phases of operations for adequate coverage during vacations and illnesses.
- Supports and enforces all Company policies, standards and procedures.
- Other miscellaneous management duties.
WORK CONDITIONS - The following describes normal work conditions:
- Required to work weekends, evenings and holidays on a regular basis.
- Works irregular hours, including an established core shift and whenever a tournament, major special event or activity is scheduled at the park.
- Works outdoors in variety of weather conditions.
- May deal with difficult players and customers.
- Works closely with all site personnel with minimum supervision from senior management to ensure park is well maintained and operated.
- Attends weekly management staff meetings.
- Conducts in monthly safety meetings.
