Overview:  
As a successful Hospitality Intern, you will be responsible for assisting with our state-of-the-art VIP suites during our summer week-long events at the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, TN.  This is a paid internship; we will work with your college/university for you to receive college credit towards your graduation. This internship will operate from mid-May 2026 to mid-August 2026.  

Responsibilities:  
  • Work under operations manager and food and beverage manager assisting with VIP suite reservations during our Week-Long Experiences.  
  • Serve as on-site liaison for VIP suite reservations.  
  • Prepare, maintain, and organize VIP suite supplies.  
  • Perform all pre-game, in-game, and post-game duties associated to VIP suites (i.e., trash removal, suite monitoring, food & beverage needs, etc.).  
  • Manage operation of food and beverage cart throughout the week 
  • Assist food and beverage manager with restocking and inventory for main complex, off-site complex and VIP suites 
  • Assist as needed with opening and closing procedures of the grill and concession stand 
  • Assist guests with questions regarding activities and dining in the community 
  • Ability to problem solve under pressure.  
  • Always convey and maintain a high level of professionalism while providing extraordinary external and internal customer service.  
  • Emulate a positive environment with peers and full-time staff  
  • Execute basic cleaning duties which include but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, cleaning & stocking restrooms, cleaning windows and picking up trash.  
  • Work with staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently while providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants.  
  • Absorb training and demonstrate the initiative, desire, and drive to help uphold the values established by the Ripken name and brand.  

Qualifications:  
Required:  
  • College student seeking credit or recent college graduate seeking work experience  
  • Prior experience in a customer service environment  
  • Outgoing and friendly personality, strong initiative, and high-energy  
  • Excellent communication skills  
  • Detail oriented 
  • Ability to multi-task, efficient time-management skills  
  • Commitment to work long hours, including weekends, depending on business needs  
  • Positive and effective leadership and customer service skills
