The Prospect League, a premier wood bat summer college baseball league, seeks a Seasonal Digital Content Intern for approximately 12 weeks from mid-May to mid-August (start dates contingent on availability).
This quality educational and professional experience provides diverse sports management opportunities that will help the successful candidate in the pursuit of a sports business career. The position is part-time (approximately 30 hours per week). Dedicated hours, including nights and weekends, are expected for motivated candidates. The League staff will work with the successful candidate to structure scheduled hours. A stipend will be paid upon completion, and college course credit may also be arranged.
Under the direction of the League Commissioner, Director of Technology and Operations, and Manager of Digital and Strategic Content, the intern’s duties will include involvement in, but not limited to:
- Managing all League highlights, working directly with streaming partner HomeTeam Network to create daily and weekly highlight packages.
- Managing Prospect League social media channels during games, including posting highlights, posting notable accolades, and reposting team content.
- Supporting Prospect League social media outside of games, including scheduling content, monitoring channels, and assisting in content creation.
- Assisting with content on ProspectLeague.com, including webpage management, article writing, and roster management.
- Monitoring the Prospect League Network powered by HTN, the official streaming home of every league game.
The intern will work remotely with no required travel. Preference may be given to candidates who reside within the League’s geographical footprint.
