The O’Fallon Hoots are seeking an energetic, motivated Assistant General Manager to join our front office team. This individual will play a key leadership role in sponsorship sales, game and event operations, food & beverage management, and staff development. The ideal candidate is a relationship builder, a strong communicator, and a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced sports and live event environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sponsorship Sales & Relationship Management
  • Assist the General Manager in prospecting and selling sponsorships on behalf of the team
  • Grow existing relationships with sponsors, fans, and community partners
  • Follow through on all sponsorship sales and promotional activations
Staffing, Hiring & Event Personnel Oversight
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and proper training/certification of seasonal event staff and student interns
  • Manage staffing assignments including:
    - Food & Beverage Staff: registers, runners, cooks, suite servers, bartenders
    - Gameday Staff: team store workers, press box staff, and umpires
    - Front Office/Intern Staff (scheduling only): stadium rentals, non-baseball events, and community events
  • Provide hands-on leadership and supervision to all part-time and event staff
  • Schedule personnel to meet the needs of every game and event
  • Serves as the office and stadium manager in the absence of the General Manager
Cash Management & Reporting
  • Ensure systems of checks and balances for cash handling and ballpark inventory
  • Manage cash bags during designated baseball games and events
  • Perform cash reconciliation following selected games and events
  • Report seasonal staff wages, tips, and commissions to accounting
Collaboration & Organizational Leadership
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and support organizational goals
  • Assist in the creation of annual budget
  • Work cross-departmentally with stadium operations, ticket operations, and marketing to enhance customer service and fan experience
  • Build a professional, positive, and values-driven culture aligned with the O’Fallon Hoots mission
  • Perform other assignments as directed by the General Manager

Competencies and Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and management experience, preferably in sports, entertainment, hospitality, or food and beverage operations
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a strong attention to detail for inventory, cash handling, and reporting
  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of staff
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by the event schedule
  • A revenue generator with at least two years of B2B sales, sports industry preferred, but not required

Compensation
Compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is an on-site, full-time, salaried position.
- Includes additional bonus structure based on team sales goals

About the O’Fallon Hoots
The O’Fallon Hoots play at CarShield Field in O’Fallon, Missouri and are members of the Prospect League, a collegiate summer wood-bat baseball league. In addition to Hoots baseball, CarShield Field hosts an in-house collegiate baseball league (the 1st Phorm Collegiate League), a variety of tournaments, concerts, special events, rentals, and year-round programming, making it one of the region’s most versatile sports and entertainment venues.
