The Thrillville Thrillbillies are looking for friendly, dependable Concessions Team Members who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and helping create a great experience for fans. From serving classic ballpark favorites to delivering quick and friendly service during the busiest moments of the game, this role plays a key part in the overall fan experience.
Concessions staff help keep the ballpark fueled with great food, great service, and the kind of energy that makes a night at the park memorable.
This position reports to the Food & Beverage Department and supports Thrillbillies games and special events held at Mtn Dew Park.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service while taking and fulfilling orders.
- Operete point-of-sale (POS) systems and accurately handle cash and card transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of concession areas including counters, equipment, and food preparation spaces.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Restock food, beverages, and supplies throughout events as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain efficient service during high-volume periods.
- Monitor food inventory and report low stock or supply needs to supervisors.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures including cleaning and preparing stands for service.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
- Basic cash-handling skills and ability to operate POS systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Team-oriented with the ability to take direction and collaborate with coworkers.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and event-based schedules.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and making change.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively during peak service periods.
Work Environment
This position operates primarily at Mtn Dew Park, an outdoor sports and entertainment venue. Team members should be comfortable working in an active, high-energy environment with large crowds and varying weather conditions during games and events.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move food, beverages, and supplies (typically up to 25–30 pounds).
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting while preparing and serving food.
- Ability to safely operate concession equipment such as grills, fryers, and beverage dispensers.
- Ability to navigate busy concession areas and stairways as needed.
- Ability to work in environments with heat from cooking equipment or outdoor weather conditions.
Schedule & Availability
This is a part-time, seasonal position.
Team members must be available to work:
- Thrillbillies home games during baseball season
- Evenings, weekends, and select holidays
- Special events hosted at Mtn Dew Park
Staff may be required to arrive up to two hours prior to game time for preparation and setup.
Employees may occasionally assist with concessions or food service operations during community or off-site events.
