The Thrillville Thrillbillies are seeking an energetic, customer-focused Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. This role is responsible for preparing beverages, providing excellent guest service, and maintaining a clean and efficient bar environment during games and events.

This position reports to the Food & Beverage Department and plays an important role in providing a safe, welcoming, and fun atmosphere for all guests at Mtn Dew Park.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences.
- Deliver friendly, attentive customer service to create a positive fan experience.
- Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including counters, equipment, and glassware.
- Accurately process customer orders and handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Monitor alcohol consumption and practice responsible alcohol service.
- Restock bar supplies including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
- Communicate effectively with fellow staff members to ensure efficient service during high-volume events.
- Follow all safety, health, and stadium policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Illinois BASSET Certification required.
- Previous bartending, barback, or food service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of common drink recipes, bar equipment, and beverage preparation techniques.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Understanding of responsible alcohol service and age verification procedures.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and event-based schedules.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
Work Environment
This position is primarily located at Mtn Dew Park, an outdoor sports and entertainment venue. Employees should be comfortable working in a high-energy environment with large crowds and varying weather conditions during events.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, twist, and perform other physical tasks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects on a regular basis.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy and active stadium environment.
Schedule & Availability
This is a part-time, seasonal position.
Employees must be available to work flexible schedules including:
- Evenings and weekends
- Holidays when events are scheduled
- Weekday and weekend games during the Thrillbillies season
Staff may be required to arrive up to two hours prior to game time for preparation.
