Fall 2026 Semester | Part-Time Internship
The Jackson Rockabillys are looking for a creative, organized, and community-minded intern to join our front office team for the Fall 2026 semester. This is a great opportunity for a student interested in sports, marketing, communications, event planning, social media, or community relations to gain hands-on experience working behind the scenes of a professional baseball organization.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, dependable, creative, and ready to take on a variety of projects throughout the semester.
This intership is for college credit. Completion of the internships always awards a $600.00 stipend.

Responsibilities
The Front Office and Community Relations Intern will assist with a variety of day-to-day projects and special events, including:
- Create graphics and social media content for the Jackson Rockabillys.
- Assist with managing and developing social media posts and other digital content.
- Write newsletters, updates, and communications for season ticket holders and community partners.
- Assist with planning and supporting community events, including two free community movie nights at the ballpark.
- Help coordinate and support the Rockabillys' reading program and other community initiatives.
- Assist with the planning and preparation for a large fall baseball game at the ballpark, including:
- Ticketing support
- Graphic creation
- Front office coordination
- Day-of-event preparation
- General event planning and support
- Assist with planning and preparations for the Rockabillys' annual corporate Christmas party.
- Provide general front office support and assist with other projects as needed.
Schedule & Location
This internship is designed to be flexible and can accommodate a remote candidate for weekly duties. However, the intern must be available to work on-site in Jackson for several key events and project days.
Required on-site dates:
- September 19, 2026
- October 10, 2026
- October 18, 2026
- October 19, 2026
- One additional week/date to be determined
We are happy to work with the selected candidate's class and work schedule to determine the timing of the additional on-site week.
Qualifications
- Current college student or recent graduate preferred.
- Interest in sports, marketing, communications, public relations, event planning, or community relations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with an eye for engaging social media and graphic content.
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment when needed.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.
- Experience with graphic design or social media platforms is a plus.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools is a plus.
What You'll Gain
This internship provides hands-on experience across collegiate sports, social media, marketing, communications, community relations, event planning, and front office operations. The intern will have the opportunity to work directly with the Rockabillys organization and gain experience supporting both everyday operations and major events at the ballpark.
