Trackman Operator & Game Data Assistant (Part-Time, Seasonal)

The Clinton LumberKings are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to serve as a Trackman Operator & Game Data Assistant for the 2026 season. This role is responsible for operating advanced baseball analytics technology while also maintaining accurate in-game statistics and supporting gameday operations from the press box. This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about baseball analytics, data, and the behind-the-scenes side of the game.
Position Details

- Type: Part-Time / Hourly / Seasonal
- Location: Clinton, IA (NelsonCorp Field)
- Schedule: Primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays (based on home game schedule)
Key Responsibilities
Trackman Operations
- Operate the Trackman system during all home games
- Set up game rosters and tag pitch-by-pitch and play-by-play data
- Monitor system performance and ensure accurate data collection throughout the game
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with Trackman support as needed
- Upload and verify data following each game
- Assist with setup, calibration, and maintenance of Trackman equipment
Game Statistics & Press Box Operations
- Record and maintain accurate in-game statistics and official scoring
- Track substitutions, defensive changes, and umpire rulings
- Communicate official scoring decisions with broadcasting and media staff
- Assist with scoreboard/data integration (if applicable)
- Support press box setup and teardown before and after games
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong understanding of baseball rules, scoring, and gameplay
- High attention to detail and ability to stay focused for entire games
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Availability for the majority of home games (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
Preferred:
Experience with baseball scoring or stat tracking
- Familiarity with Trackman or similar analytics systems
- Previous experience in sports operations, analytics, or media
Compensation
- Hourly (based on experience)
