CLUBHOUSE MANAGER INTERNSHIP

The Burlington Bees are members of the Prospect Collegiate Summer Baseball League.  The Bees have hosted baseball, at a variety of levels, since 1889, including minor league baseball from 1952 to 2020.  We present a fan-friendly, family-oriented product, which operates at the highest professional level.

JOB DESCRIPTION 
We are seeking a Clubhouse Manager who will develop and maintain a strong relationship with our 2024 team. By conducting themselves in an efficient, organized manner, the intern will provide a mutually comfortable environment for our coaches and players, while assuring the locker room functions as a safe, nurturing environment.

Make no mistake.  We expect the successful candidate will take over the operation of the clubhouse.  We want our manager to put their personal stamp on how the clubhouse looks and feels.

Primary Duties include (but are not limited to):
  • Organization of the entire locker room, including laundry rooms, training area, meal area, lockers  and shower
  • Cleanliness of the facility
  • Maintain inventory, organization and assignment of equipment and uniforms (done in conjunction with the field manager and the general manager).
  • Laundering team uniforms and organizing their return
  • Ensuring the meal area is supplied with needed utensils and service ware
  • Setting up delivery/pick-up of pre- and post-game meals
  • Supervision of Batboys/Batgirls
  • Other tasks assigned by the Front Office Staff.

START DATE 
Start in mid-May and end in the first week of August (start and finish dates are flexible). 

HOURS 
Full time. Work hours are long and varied. The clubhouse manager and the general manager set the hours for this position to allow for the most complete and efficient operation of the facility.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 
Your housing and all utilities are paid for. The team provides a free meal each home game. $300 a month stipend. Membership to the local YMCA. 

QUALIFICATIONS 
Currently enrolled in a college or university sports operations or management program. We are looking for talented, self-motivated hard-working individuals who want to learn what goes on behind the scenes and demonstrate the ability to apply those lessons as they grow into their careers. We value open-minded, conscientious team players possessing a positive attitude and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. Must have excellent communications skills.
