DEPARTMENT: Prep Baseball Retail Sales
LOCATION: River Run Park; Newport, AL
JOB TYPE: Part-time, Non-exempt

Position Summary and Attributes:
Well-organized, self-motivated, team player who wants to play a key role in helping to manage day-to-day operations of the Retail Sales department. The Team Lead will be communicating company goals, assessing performance, and ensuring the guest experience is met to the standards of the Retail Sales department. This is an excellent opportunity to share your expertise, while learning more about a growing and exciting sports and entertainment organization that values your initiative, creativity and dedication. The Team Lead will also function in the capacity of a sales associate and will provide customer service and knowledge of all products to guests while on the sales floor and at the cash register. A successful Team Lead will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork and customer service.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The primary tasks of this individual will be:
- Assist Retail Sales Supervisor in monitoring and evaluating team performance
- Assist Retail Sales Supervisor in day-to-day operations of the store
- Ensure team members are providing an excellent guest experience by acknowledging and engaging guests in a respectful and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ensure standards for guest service are upheld at all times.
- Ensure team members are showing respect to each other at all times while maintaining a teamwork atmosphere.
- Ensure guests at the cash register are being assisted in an accurate and efficient manner. This includes ringing up the correct product in a timely fashion, as well as receiving payments of cash and/or credit cards accurately.
- Ensure pricing and promotions are correct in Square Retail. Fix issues as soon as notified.
- Ensure store displays are maintained while complying with image and quality standards.
- Ensure merchandise is clean and neatly displayed.
- Help to maintain inventory by ensuring items are in stock and that sales associates are following the restocking schedule.
- Ensure that a team member is always present in the store and that Prep Baseball’s product is not left unattended.
- Help to maintain the store's organization, cleanliness, and health and safety measures.
- Attend team member meetings if scheduled.
- Handle guests' questions and concerns while maintaining a professional demeanor, handling any guest complaints that have been escalated to the Team Lead.
- Provide the Retail Sales Supervisor with on-going updates concerning guest feedback on products, designs, and/or service.
- Complete all daily tasks as assigned by upper management.
- Report any known loss and/or damage of products to the Retail Sales Supervisor.
- Ensure team members are familiarizing themselves with new product assortments and inventory levels in order to properly communicate with guests.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ensure team members are working different areas of the store as needed, based on guests’ movement within the store.
- Ensure opening/closing checklist is being followed daily
- Ensure every associate is completing their on-the-job training in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must have a valid Georgia Driver’s License.
- Must be able to follow all policies and procedures.
- Excellent mathematical, multitasking, and POS system skills
- Excellent guest service, as well as the ability to prioritize and manage staff efficiently
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- 6 months to 1 year minimum retail management experience or service industry management experience
SUPERVISION: Retail Sales Team Lead reports directly to the Retail Sales Supervisor
WORK HOURS: Regular attendance is a necessary job function required for this position. Scheduled working hours vary depending on the season, program or event. Early mornings, late evenings, holidays, or weekends are needed to complete this job.
