We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Spring 2027 Internal Programming Intern. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the development, coordination, and execution of programs and initiatives at a large-scale sports and events campus. As an Internal Programming Intern, you will play an important role in supporting the planning and implementation of youth programs, camps, leagues, community initiatives, and other internal programming at Droplight Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Indiana. This internship is ideal for individuals interested in sports management, recreation programming, event planning, program development, and creating meaningful experiences for athletes, participants, families, and the community.
Grand Park Sports Campus
Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana, is a planned youth and adult recreational sports Campus designed to become a family sports destination like no other. This thoughtfully-designed 400-acre sports campus features a full-range of championship-level outdoor facilities for baseball, softball and field sports including soccer, football, ultimate frisbee, lacrosse and three-field indoor events center designed for year-round play.
General Definition of Work
The Internal Programming Intern supports Grand Park's Programming team in the planning, promotion, and execution of Grand Park owned programs, with a primary focus on School Break Camps and Grand Park Flag Football. This internship provides hands on experience in youth sports programming, recreation management, customer service, coaching support, and event operations while assisting with programs designed to engage and serve the local community.
Work is performed under the supervision of the VP or Operations or Client Services Manager. Work hours are directly tied to the campus programming calendar and are subject to change. Evening, weekend, and school break availability is required.

Essential Functions
School Break Camps
- Assist with planning and daily operations for Spring Break, Summer Break, Fall Break, and Winter Break Camps.
- Help coordinate camper check in and check out procedures.
- Assist with activity planning, recreation programming, and age appropriate games and enrichment activities.
- Support camp instructors and guest presenters throughout daily programming.
- Provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for campers and families.
- Assist with participant communication, registration support, and program evaluations.
- Monitor program supplies and assist with equipment setup and organization.
Grand Park Flag Football
- Assist with league operations for Grand Park Flag Football programs.
- Support league check in, field setup, game day operations, and equipment management.
- Assist coaches, officials, volunteers, and families throughout league play.
- Help organize league schedules, player communication, and participant resources.
- Support special events, clinics, combines, and championship activities.
- Assist with player and family engagement initiatives designed to enhance the participant experience.
Program Administration
- Assist with participant registration, database management, and program communications.
- Help prepare program materials, signage, schedules, and operational documents.
- Track attendance, participation, and program feedback.
- Assist with inventory management of program equipment and supplies.
- Support promotional efforts for upcoming Grand Park programs and community initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Programming Manager.

- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Experience participating in or coaching youth sports is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and school break periods.
Education & Experience
Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Parks and Recreation, Education, Physical Education, Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field.
Previous experience working with youth programs, camps, athletics, recreation, coaching, or customer service is preferred but not required.
Interest in youth sports programming, recreation management, or community engagement is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and active participation in recreational activities. The intern will regularly work both indoors and outdoors while assisting with programming throughout the 400-acre campus. The position may require lifting equipment up to 30 pounds and participating in physically active games and activities.
Special Requirements
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and school breaks.
CPR and First Aid Certification preferred or ability to obtain.
Ability to successfully pass any required background screening for working with youth participants.
