We’re hiring! Prep Baseball is currently seeking to fill three positions in the New England region. Candidates must reside in (or be willing to relocate to) one of the territories listed in the job titles below. 

  1. State Director, Prep Baseball Massachusetts
  2. State Director, Prep Baseball Connecticut & Rhode Island 
  3. State Director, Prep Baseball Upper New England (VT, NH, ME)

Prep Baseball is seeking Scouting Directors to lead operations, scouting, and event execution within New England. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving growth, managing personnel, and delivering best-in-class coverage across the state. The ideal candidate is a leader with presence, someone who can run events, manage a team, evaluate players at a high level, and build strong relationships across the baseball community.


What You’ll Do:

Lead Operations

  • Direct day-to-day Prep Baseball activity across your New England territory 
  • Work closely with regional and national leadership to execute strategy
  • Build relationships with high school programs, travel organizations, and college coaches
  • Run Events & Drive Participation
  • Plan and execute a full calendar of showcases and events (Preseason, Summer, Fall)
  • Manage event logistics, staffing, and player recruitment
  • Ensure a premium, consistent experience at all events

Lead Tournament Coverage & Integration

Maintain a strong presence at Prep Baseball tournaments within the state and region
  • Evaluate players in tournament settings to support rankings and event identification
  • Coordinate tournament coverage, including scouting notes, social media, and content
  • Align tournament operations with scouting, content, and player development initiatives

Manage & Develop Staff

Recruit, train, and lead assistant scouts and event staff
  • Set expectations for scouting, content, and event execution
  • Maintain accountability and consistency across the team

Lead Scouting & Rankings

Evaluate players through events, tournaments, game coverage, and video
  • Oversee player rankings and identification for invite-only events
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality scouting coverage across the state

Oversee Content & Coverage

Manage event and tournament coverage (Quick Hits, scouting reports, rankings, previews)
  • Maintain a strong and consistent social media presence
  • Ensure alignment in voice, branding, and quality across all platforms

Manage Data & Systems

  • aintain player profiles and databases (players, coaches, travel teams)Ensure accuracy and depth of all scouting and event data
  • Utilize technology (TrackMan, Blast, video) to enhance evaluation and content

What We’re Looking Fo

  • Strong baseball background with evaluation experience
  • Proven ability to lead, organize, and manage people
  • Comfortable running events and handling multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-starter with a high level of accountability
Compensation
